- DIPLOMACY
- Going After Big Game

-
Usually he's stalking the elusive treaty. But on one of his
- diplomatic trips this summer, Secretary of State James Baker
- will be going after the real thing: big game.
-

-
The objects of his hunterly interest are in Mongolia, where
- Baker plans to spend five days in early August. With a visit
- to Ulan Bator during a swing through Asia, he will acknowledge
- the political changes in this remote Stalinist outpost, where
- the Communist Party recently relinquished its monopoly on power
- and agreed to hold free elections. That done, outdoorsman Baker
- plans to head for the hills to enjoy a little hunting.
- Mongolia's fauna include the spiral-horned Altai Argali wild
- sheep, the ibex and the black-tailed gazelle, and Baker is
- known to be especially enthusiastic about this mission.
